I created these earrings as a part of earrings and necklaces as statement pieces for anyone who likes to stand up to world injustices. Thus the colortheme of red, green, black blue and yellow, as the flag of Sapmi, launched a month before i was born i 1986. These are a statement against Genocide and inhumanity against the civilians fighting for survival everywhere in the world, both now and historically. But also a reminder of everyone that has lost their life, humanity and voices during this brutal ongoing and past happenings.
These earrings are made out of recycled plastic soldiers, sprayed in black, splashed with yellow, green, blue and yellow enamel äcolors and pink & green glitter topped off with a gloss varnish. The pearls are black and oilstaincolored and anodized green aluminium. the hooks and hoops is handmade out of soft annealed copper wire. Soft annealed copper does not withold nickel wich makes it suitable for the wearer with skin allergies.
