In the process of creating these earrings I had just understood I myself were queer. I was pondering upon the energies rising, of more and more hate coming up to the surface against individuals freedom to express themselves authentically the way they are. I was visualizing a future rainbow army rising against these attitudes, winning and making the word into a rainbow family utopia.
The hooks and hoops are handmade out of 1,00 mm copper wire and the little mini soldiers found at a fleamarket are painted in rainbow enamel colors. Copper does not withold nickel wich should make it suitable for the wearer who has skin allergies.
