Order a pre-recorded song and/or a live singer for your funeral

Nadja Itäsaari has been a vocalist and songwriter for 20 years. She has a habit of standing strong and finding her way in grief, like a Bohuslän cliff with a stormy sea around her. She also does not shy away from life's more difficult topics. With Karelian and Finnish roots, Nadja also resonates with Karelian lamentation, something that was common in ancient Karelia at funerals in Finland, before World War II. A Karelian lamentation was a form of mourning song, traditionally performed by mourners in Karelia to express collective grief at funerals or other sad events. The mourner helped the mourners process their emotions by singing and crying, and these songs were an important part of Karelian funeral rites.

After Nadja lost her own father figure and grandfather in the spring of 2025, she decided to take on a long-standing dream she had of comforting people in grief. Now she offers bookings as a singer at your funeral.

Nadja sings seamlessly in Finnish, Swedish and English with lyrics and storytelling in focus. She also has the habit of singing everything from pop, rock, blues, jazz and ballads - to RnB and blues and folk music. She also offers to create a pre-recorded music production of your loved one's favorite song/alternatively a specially written song for this occasion, or an interpretation of a song you associate with the lost one.
