So I originally designed a mermaid that would have various symbols around her that are traditionally considered to be symbols related to the mythological symbol of Justitia - symbol of justice. The mermaid herself was handpainted to mimic distressed bronze, as a metaphor for the bronze statue of Poseidon at Götaplatsen in Gothenburg where I live. Poseidon - the god of the sea, springs, rivers and earthquakes in greek mythology

In addition to the modern mermaid take on Justitia , I have also continued to create slightly smaller pieces for a collection exhibited here in my webshop, with a simplified technique of the original Justitia necklace.
 
This handcrafted Justitia the Mermaid necklace chain is made out of copper wire eyelets, glass and plastic beads. The Justitia pendant is made out of fimoclay, handpainted as distressed bronze dipped in resin glaze for longivity and hold. Copper does not withhold nickel wich makes it suitable for the wearer that has skin allergies.
