This us the Unknown Soldier Granite Necklace. It’s perfect for the bold and historically intrerested wearer who likes to connect with ancestry. 
The process of creating the unknown soldier necklace and smaller collection has taken me a long time to understand why I guess subconciously chose to be working with the theme of war, in a time of war.
I started to understand why when I moved in with my grandma in the spring of 2025 after my granpa had passed.
My grandma told me a story about women that were cast out into sea when the second worldwar started 1939 (the year my grandma was born) . During and after the Finnish Winter War the german officers that had gotten to be friends with finnish officers and even training them, had to become enemies.
During the winterwar many of the 300 000 officers that had travelled by ship to bottenviken had to travel back to Germany. Many finnish women had fallen in love with the officers or had gotten attached to them, and wanted to travel back to Germany with them. 
Due to being forced to be enemies, the tale tells that some of the officers even got forced to throw the women into the baltic ocean, murdered. The tale is still mysterious and not much research can be found on it.
But I have thought of these women as mermaids, even sirens wanting to revenge the officers for their deeds. Thereby my first part of the Unknown soldier Collection.
The mini plastic soldier is found at a fleamarket, cast in resin and small pieces of stones and cat gold - partnered up with handmde granite pearls made of pieces i have found on my mermaid journeys around the coast of Helsinki. The necklaces overall structure and lock is handmade out of 1,0mm copper wire, copper does not withold nickel wich makes it suitable for the wearer that has skin allergies.
Red Granite metaphysical uses:
